Why Should Students "Engage?"
In the New Testament book of John when Jesus is speaking with the Samaritan woman at the well, he gives us a great picture what our life is supposed to look like. For the sake of contemporary understanding relevant to teenagers, The Message paraphrase sums this idea up very well. It reads in John 4:23:
“It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before Him in their worship.” (The Message//Remix)
Worship is typically an act that is associated with a hymnal, organ, praise team, a choir and a congregation singing praises to the ceiling for an hour. Granted, praising God is a part of our worship, but is not worship. Romans 12:1-2 outlines what worship can be defined as. It reads:
“Therefore, I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." (NASB)
Living a lifestyle of worship encompasses all of the following things:
• Transformation through renewal and community
• Discernment of God’s will personally, and corporately
• Offering of ourselves to Christian service
• Sacrificing ourselves to the will of God personally, and corporately
• Being non-conformists to the way of the fallen world
If we are aiming to make all of the above a part of our lives, that life will inevitably result in us engaging our spirits in the pursuit of Truth. That truth is the saving grace and power of Jesus Christ that brings us transformation.
Student Ministry Core Values
Growth Groups
...Are a vital attribute to spiritual growth.
...Give opportunity to share personal needs and search God’s Word for the truth.
Relational
Students need other students to be challenged toward the application of Biblical principles for successful living and decision making. Opportunities for students to be engaged in meaningful friendships that are based on authenticity is the foundation of our student ministry.
Challenging
Students have the capacity to be used powerfully and strategically by God. Ministry action opportunities provide ClearPoint teenagers the challenge of being involved in ministries that express the heart of God.
Inspiring
Students need more than things to do and places to go. They need more than activities that are designed to ‘keep them busy". Students need to be built up, encouraged and motivated toward spiritual progress and lasting growth. ClearPoint is dedicated to offering teenagers practical truths and meaningful relationships through multiple experiences that build faith in and love for God.

Artist of the Month: Rush of Fools
We're all aware of the opposite side of the equation, but what are you supposed to do when at first you do succeed? How should you react when the things you've been working for, individually and collectively, your entire young lives start to take shape? And more important still, how do you get back to that place of openness that jumpstarted that success when almost everything about your existence has changed? Simple. You stop, sit down and reflect on the Wonder Of The World. (Read more... Click here.)
