2010 Self Assessment
We have lost our way as ‘disciples’ of the Lord Jesus. We really have. We do not know what that word means and all that that one word demands of us as Christ followers. The Lord is inviting us todayat CP and for the weeks to come to re-learn, to re-discover, to re-implement, and to renew our understanding of and submission to Jesus as Lord and to take our follow-ship seriously…much more seriously than we have or already do.

“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
Some quick diagnostic questions to help you get a birds eye on your self assessment of your current spiritual condition might help some as you determine if you really believe Matthew 6:33 or not so much:
- Do you have a daily time with God in the Word?
- Is prayer to Jesus a consistent daily routine for you?
- Do you hear God’s speak to you from His Word?
- Are you alert to sin and make confession a high priority?
- Do you welcome God’s truth delivered to you?
- Are you committing the Scripture to memory?
- Do you re-think the Word over and over as a lifestyle?
- Are you communicating Jesus to your lost family & friend?
- Are you actively demonstrating the love of Jesus to those in need?
- Are you burdened for folks far away from Jesus?
- Are you involved in community with other Christians?
- Are you being invested in by more mature believer?
- Are you investing your life in one other to encourage their life with God?
- Do you ask God’s permission before you make decisions?
- Do you look to see where God is at work around you?
- Do you know your spiritual gift? Are you investing it?
- Are you ‘hot’ or ‘cold’ in your life with God?
- Are you ‘lukewarm’ in your life with God?
- Do you steward your money and possessions according to Scripture?
- Are you humble before God and others or argumentative?
- Do you insist on your ‘rights’ or do you practice deference?
- Are you a servant?
- Do you forgive or hold grudges? Are all your relationships ‘right’ with God and with every person in your spheres of influence?
- How would your spouse, parent or child describe your life in Jesus?
- Identify three areas of personal growth that only Jesus could have made to happen in the past 12 months.
- Is this a good day for you to die and stand before God? Why or why not?
What is your ‘vision’ for yourself in 2010? If you say that you are a disciple of Jesus, would Jesus agree with your self assessment?
